Exciting Central Sunset Coast

No other part of Perth can boast the range of facilities that are present here in the central region of the Sunset Coast. It is the heart of activity for the whole community and you can enjoy the buzz, action and variety in virtually anything you desire.

The beaches here are beautiful and less travelled, where you may find yourself alone on the perfect white sands or mixing it with the locals either walking dogs in the early morning or fishing while the orange of the setting sun blends in with the blue ocean.

Hillarys is a bustling tourist precinct with a terrific range of specialty shops. You can buy art and gift ware from local artists, there is beach and surf wear and a dedicated sweet shop. The choice of restaurants, bars and cafes suit every mood. The leisure park has huge water slides and mini golf.

Hillarys Yacht Club adds a great wealth of leisure craft to the many power boats moored directly to the boardwalks of the shopping precinct. Whale watching and deep sea fishing are well catered for and there is a direct service to Rottnest Island.    Sunset Coast - North

Cultural North Sunset Coast

Venture back in time and explore our rich heritage past from mutiny and shipwrecks, to Aboriginal culture and European settlement. Appreciate the underground world of the Yanchep National Park limestone caves and meet the Amphipods, miniature shrimp like creatures harking back to the Gondwanan era found nowhere else in the world. Hike the Nyoonga peoples' ancient walk on the Yaberoo Budjara Trail and experience the last campsite of the 10th Light Horse Unit.

In the hinterland, gently rolling hills and acres of market gardens are the backdrop for peaceful  drives and picnic spots. In spring natural trails of wildflowers outline expansive walks and drives to the north and east. Right through the year there is a variety of fresh produce available including strawberries (May to November), mangoes (December to March), fresh olives and olive oil (April to May), avocadoes (July to November) and fine wines.

Refresh yourself and escape the crowds along the extensive coastline and kilometres of unspoiled beaches. Discover the treachery of the sea. Stand where Leeman landed or visit Wreck Point to see the remains of the Alex T Brown. Take a charter dive from Mindarie marina and visit the many reefs just off the coast.
