This means that for most of the year, the weather is fine and sunny, and even during the short mild winter the sun is often shining. It is because of these endless summers that many Perth activities revolve around the outdoors. Notes are $5, $10, $20, $50 and $100 denominations;
Coins are 5c, 10c, 20c, 50c, $1 and $2.
Banks are open Monday to Thursday 9.30am - 4pm and until 5pm on Friday.
All banks are closed on Saturday, Sunday and Public Holiday.
Automatic Tellers operate 24hrs a day. EFTPOS facilities are available at most large stores, supermarkets, chemists and service stations. You can cash travellers cheques at banks, hotels and some motels. Always have identification.
Exchange Rates vary from day to day. Banks and hotels will tell you what current rates are, or you can telephone any of the above.
Credit Cards - Bankcard, Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Diner's Club are widely accepted.
Postage - Postcards cost from 50c depending on their destination.
The GPO in Forrest Place is open 8am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday, Saturday 9am - 12.30pm and Sunday 12pm - 4pm. |
